There is no P4-850

and the 'dreaded p4 spike problem' aka. denormal is related to specific coding situations that plugin coders will have to account for. Ie, if you have spiking you're going to have to test your plugins to see which ones are perhaps problematic. Older plugins (pre-2002) and very ...

Ah, posted just after you replied to Tom. I don't believe that CW sells ModII anymore, and unfortunately you'll need a Modular version to do the fleXor demo :-/

I am still biased towards dsp synthesis though

Granted a Pulsar2 would give you more dsp(I personally also have Pulsar1+Pulsar2) but if its modular synthesis you truly want then I'd go for flexor. Reaktor4 did benefit from the 'new' oscs in Pro53 and it can do sample-based manipulation that our dsp cards don't, but for solid fat synthesis CW ...

It's a line in your cset.ini. The manual has an explanation, and searching these forums should turn up more detailed info.

SFP should be what needs to be reinstalled. If you do decide to reinstall logic too I'd suggest remembering to backup your Autoload & %windir%Logic 5.prf

If sounddiver is used with cubase they will both try to use the same midi ports. You will have to deactivate the midi ports in Cubase that you want sounddiver to be able to access. Luckily SFP allows the creation of quite a few midi ports and allows complex midi routing. If it were a normal midi i/o ...

One of the most noticable bugs in 3.1C has to do with the Live Bar. Pull down menus at the top of the Live Bar seem to get stuck "behind" the Live Bar very often. Other than a few minor things, however, I agree it's pretty stable. There's nothing there that I would consider a show stopper.

Dumprep is just a meory dump created by the NT kernel (nt/2k/xp) when the crash occurs. You can disable these:

XP Pro recognizes the distiction between 'physical' cpu and 'logical' cpu now, thereby allowing up to 4 'logical' cpu's but only 2 'physical' ones.

Its worth noting too that while win2k isn't horribly far behind, winXP does offer a few extras in its HAL (hardware abstraction layer).

First off ...

Again unless I'm mistaken, there's more to 96k (and etc) than 48khz high frequencies. Since the audio rate is moving at a much higher speed, many more audible frequency divisions can be reproduced.

If 48khz can only produce 375hz and 425hz with minimal aliasing (i'm choosing arbitrary values here ...
