Hi all,
I've just d/loaded and installed 3.1a on my system......glad I did. Now the few minor type bugs that I had with 3.1 are gone. I already had the aspi 4.70 upgrade so I can't comment about the XP install issue, needless to say that it installed fine. The Aux problems that I had with the 1632 are now gone (the external returns wouldn't work unless you put an insert plugin in), works great, now it's quick'n'easy to plug in my outboard FX.
It seems that the dropdown menus on the routing window are back to functioning again. Also the 96k bug that was plaguing me before has also gone (if I had the 1632 in a project and tried switching to 96k I'd get a dsp overload error......that's no longer the case).
Overall...for me anyway...this release has polished off SFP for my system....3.1 was really good, but not quite right..a few little annoying bugs like the ones mentioned above. Now 3.1a works like 3.1 should have (if Creamware had the luxury of another 6 months of Beta)......Welldone CW!! I personally don't see the need for another OS update for me (unless perhaps I get anothe CW card at a later date)

Regards..........(a very happy), Dave

3.1C still has bugs. So does the 2448 mixer and, I suspect, there are still plenty of other bugs here and there.

One of the most noticable bugs in 3.1C has to do with the Live Bar. Pull down menus at the top of the Live Bar seem to get stuck "behind" the Live Bar very often. Other than a few minor things, however, I agree it's pretty stable. There's nothing there that I would consider a show stopper.

Anyway, glad to hear everything is running well for you. Good show.

Have you done a clean 3.1c install?

Yeah, actually a number of times for reasons not related to that specifically.

Originally, I had an upgrade installation (from a previous version) and then later installed the final 3.1C release. The only comment I can make about it is that I'm using it in conjunction with tripleDAT which is a mess in and of itself.

Perhaps this SFP "problem" might somehow be related to 3DAT? Who knows. I'm going to be dumping 3DAT here shortly as soon as I get my Sonar 3 software. At least I'll be able to record at 24/96 and take advantage of some of the cool DX stuff out there.

I still hope CW updates it sometime. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for 3DAT. Great user interface - probably one of the best.
