The certification warning is no problem. that is just M$ mind control duoblethink. try to bring the scope bootup entry to a later stage in the boot sequence of your PC. have a look in msconfig where the entry for scope is. Then find a way to bring it to a later place in the startup sequence, that h...

there's no problem with the Scope driver on XP. the thing about driver cert is a powerplay by M$. they charge a lot of money for certification and many companies' device drivers are unsigned. i don't know why your computer is having problems. what driver are you using? win2k, no? Indeed I use the W...

Is the mix just about ok? guitar maybe a little loud.. personally i'm freaking about the eq on the bass, never seem to get it quite right.. :-? Cheers, Tom Both the guitar and the snare are too much "up front". Well, we've already debated the snare but the guitar can be put just a tad mor...

@hifiboom Being a JMJ fan for 30 years, I agree. But so far I've heard, it's selling rather well. This is not implying that Unhappiness by Widy is a bad track, it most certainly isn't. as a matter of fwact, I've posted the link on the Jarre Forum and they love the track! Téo & Téa won't be a par...

I've listened to your tune and here's my 2 cents:

As a drummer, I'd like to point out that the riffs sound too programmed or mechanic. The snare is a bit too metallic and hollow. Try to use a bit dryer sounding snare - a wood snare perhaps.

Good luck on your mixing!

@widy

Nice, VERY nice indeed!

I've heard the latest JM Jarre CD and your song sounds a lot like JM Jarre's "Téo and Téa". Now that's a compliment to you!

What's your opinion?

Hi all, Just been reading about the new Cell processor which outruns the Pentium IV about a hunderd times! The makers, a conglomerate of IBM, Toshiba and (Oh NO!) Sony, claim it's suitable for a wide variety of applications: video, audio, PC, television, all kinds of electrical household devices... ...

Hi, My two (Euro)cents on the subject: Bringing out new products every music fair is not a display of stability within a product line IMHO. Besides that the hunger for new stuff is to me prove of the overconsuming modern society: it doesn't matter if the product is good, it's supposed to be NEW, COO...

Hi, I've used the A16 (old model) for about 30 minutes and handed it back to the dealer. I switched to the Alesis AI-3 and I'm very satisfied with it. Silent and flawless (so far - touch wood). Another thing I'd like to share with you is that working with the Pulsar/SFP mixer on screen can be tediou...

Hi all, This is a rather late update, but better late than never. Recently it came to my knowledge that the Chronologie part 1 sound has been produced by an Eminent 310 DeLuxe organ (with some FX). That should be pretty obvious to me as the Eminent indeed can produce that distictive "rattle&quo...

Hi all,

Since my old IBM Aptiva Pentium II - 400 MHz (!) is behaving rather strangly lately, I'm on the outlook for a new PC. Can somebody help me on which PC configurations are best? What to choose and what NOT to choose?

I'd be glad if you experts can help me out!

Cheers!

<Switching on my socio-psycological mode> To my best of knowlegde, it's typical for us male species to play with Tech Toys like the Pulsar. Per example: when you ask a man what car he drives, he nows the brand, type, engine, horsepower, etc. When asked the same question to a women, she'll tell you t...

Style? Well, the music I play is mostly ambient, progressive house, trance, lounge(-ish), new age (not the dull stuff  ), all with jazzy/funky/groovy influences. So be it. That's your opinion, which I highly respect.
And if I'm correct you agree with the upgrade issue in the end after all...
