The other is for the second goal-keeper* to have an appointment. On 2004-06-14 05:52, Spirit wrote:
Two goals ? I suppose one goal is to win - what's the other ?
*a goal-keeper is the one you give your goal to keep

The soccer/football thing reminds me my dissappointment on a hardware store - I supposed I would have found computers there

Socrates was clars - smoked 40-a-day, never turned up for practice sessions and was absolutely brilliant!samplaire wrote:

No, we're talking about FOOTBALL.

Well corrected sir!

As opposed to "American Football" (AKA 'HeadBashHead') and "Aussie Rules Football" (AKA 'Barroom Brawl')
Ah...the beautiful game (which England rather typically threw away in extra time...) *sobs*
Royston
Oh my, Sweden plays its first match tonight aaginst Bulgaria. The air here in Stockholm is basically trembling with excitement. Are there any bulgarians here on the forum? I need someone to throw threats and wild accusations against
Too bloody annoying with these matches though. I mean, i obviously have to see them all. . . . but how am I going to find time for my recordings? Im supposed to record this female vocalist tomorrow, but we´ll have to try to fit it in between the two matches. . . . .
You should have heard her sigh when I told her about that, hahaha

I like soccer. To be more detailed, I like the sport, not the business around it.
the tournament is a great way to bring people from different countries together. They scream, laugh and celebrate together.
I can´t wait for the world championship,though.
We have some matches here in my town then and the city will be full of mad people, I guess.
Personally I think our team will loose tomorrow against the flatlanders.

Is this tournament more exciting to people here than the Olympics ?
In certain areas, yes I think so. Even though the Olympics is huge too. Football is called the worlds largest sport (and rightly so) and the olympics is basically made up of loads of different sports that many people, including myself, has absolutely no interest in.
Personally I´ll hardly watch the olympics at all. Maybe some of the most exciting parts of athletics if I dont have anything better to do.
