Can anyone give me some help regarding the Yamaha 01V96. I have just purchased this mixer and have a few questions that are confusing me. Please dont laugh as this is my first digital mixer. Here I go!!!

1. To connect my hardware synths to my pulsar and 01V, do I need a Ultra A16/Luna

2. Do I only need to connect through my optical I/O and midi? (how does word clock, connect and work?)

I will try and be more specific if someone replies, I am a complete novice with digital mixers so please be gentle

Cheers in advance

do you have pulsar II?
than the easyest way (what I do) is connect trough adat.

about wordclock I use scope as master and 01v as slave(most of the time)

there is no need to connect truogh midi but it can be very handy

for wordclock remember to put your speaker on very low volume!!

go to set-up page 1
select auto navigate
you get message confirmation select ok press enter

make sure pulsar is set to master
take any sound source and connect to adat dest.

Cheers Virtualstudio, when I connect to wordclock do I connect from the digital phono connectors to wordclocks BNC connectors.

Sorry if I sound dumb its my first time using a digital mixer (P.S. yes it is a Pulsar II)

????? that I don't understand.
I Would connect my hardware synth's just into 1 of the channels, then through adat to pulsar, pulsar back trough adat into the 01v and then your 01v stereo out to amp and speakers.

btw I have 01v48 wich is a bit different
