Yeah, it should, and it was before in Win98SE and WinME...

It is with XP that the problem appeared

Can't you use the analog output from the card to watch DVDs with dobly surround?

I know you loose some audio quality but at least you get surround.

On my setup it actually works in XP with the latest version of PowerDVD, build 2417. It didn't work with previous versions.
Try and remove all wave drivers from your SFP project before starting PowerDVD. It seems nessesary to be able to use the Digital Wavesource on some setups. (It's recognized by PowerDVD as "Sonix-usb" under s/p-dif destination.)
And remember to set PowerDVD to use s/p-dif, not 6 speakers.

I still don't get Dolby Digital sound, although I have the latest PowerDVD build 2417. Are there maybe other settings that I have to make, before I can hear the Dolby Digital?
