Hi,
I was just wondering, would it be possible that someone created a device like this ?
I mean a real Attack-alike device, the other drum devices aren't too bad either, but Attack is awsome !
I wouldn't mind paying for a genuine Attack clone, if only it would be of equal quality like the original VSTi and not sample based.
Any creative programmers around ?
Ronald.

Attack, first a VSTi, then Hardware, maybe next a Pulsar dev
Well I'm still saveing up for LAP 5.2 and LC.
But as a Pulsar device we could benefit from the multiple outputs. From what I've heard/read is, that it is kind of a hassle to get the multiple outs working on certain VSTi-s in Logic. Please don't tell me to switch to Cubase SX, hell I'll stay with Logic for the next couple of years! My 1Ghz P-III with XP-pro will do just fine. Since music is my hobby, I won't buy a "Pro machine" like a Macintosh. I just can't justify such a big investment.
On the other hand, I shouldn't be comparing a 1Ghz RISC to a 2Ghz CISC processor, that's not fair. But if I had the money I would buy one. ( Just have a look at the new dual proc mac, DROOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL ! )

I guess you refer to the DrumVox as this comes very close to what I've read about the Attack (haven't found a demo on CD yet).
You use one for each part of the drum box, seems to keep DSP hunger at bay (4 ticks usage on Pulsar 1 per module).
I've connected 4 of them to a common midi source and a micromixer as submix.
Would be nice if you'd compare it to the Waldorf, imho Stephen definetely knows how to do crunchy punchy devices.
cheers, Tom
