i just revitalized my kit with a scope XITE-1D and Sam X pro. i've been a bit non creative for about 6 years and used to use cubase SX. Years ago I downloaded a trial of SAM, and ever since, I wanted a full copy. I don't know what you all think but SAM definitely has an edge in the acoustics. I always found Cubase hard to EQ, but in SAM things sit a lot better in the mix. Its not the easiest GUI but once you get used to a DAW it doesn't really matter.
That's my 2 cents anyway.

Big Samplitude ProX fan here also. :)
Great transparent DAW for use with Scope.
