I'm currently linking my Emu XL Turbo (excellent!) to my Pulsar I (latest software update) via the SPDIF.

All is generally well however sometimes when I load up a project the SPDIF connection only emits crackles, which can usually be solved by alternating between Master and Slave a few times. Even worse, every now and again during playback or recording the system freezes up for a few seconds - occasionally this also leads to stuck notes on the XL1. V. annoying!

Anyone else come across this? Any solutions?

Cheers.

PulsarII SPDIF fixes this. Other than that, my only suggestion would be to use the Analog I/O on your Pulsar I. I have only been able to reliably use EITHER the SPDIF/i OR the SPDIF/o, but not both at the same time.

At one point, someone said they were using both SPDIF/i/o just fine without clicks with a Pod. I was a little surprised, I thought that was impossible...

Anyone else?
