sorry HUROLURA, in my post I commented on "bears" statement about the ext input on the MS20.
:P
I should have quoted. :D

And I was talking about phase distortion oscillators ...

like this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase_distortion_synthesis

maybe you can build your own phase distortion module...
could be possible with sdk...

I already found this link (and a few others). I kind of figure out how to implement phase distortion in C but do not yet how to achieve this type of thing with the atoms available in the SDK.

Would probably take time and maybe I will start up something easier before...

I guess the only fuction missing from the math formula is the sinus function...

But maybe you can try the waveshaper module for such tasks.

for a conventional programmer its really a different kind of working in scope.

objectoriented programming vs functional programming language.

Actually a waveshaper would modify the sound in the same way as a filter do (i .e. without any link toward the oscillator frequency). Phase distrortion from what I understaood of it is much more similar to FM: you alter the harmonic content of an oscillator by modulating some of its features. Once again, for me it is much more similar to PWM with a different waveform rathher than what you can achieve with a waveshaper. I do not even know how to set up a waveshaper to produce PWM wave from a square wave oscillator ...

Ok meanwhile one more little soundclip produced by one of my MaoMusique friend (registered other there as CwAudio).
He produces this with sounds from his own sound bank for the OSS107.
Here is the result:

And this one I just made for fun with an OSS 107 bassline and ... something else which is still experimental ...

after looking again at this wikipedia site, I`m pretty sure phase distortion is pretty much the same as a waveshaper.
I`m not 100% sure...

And no you are wrong, the waveshaper can have influence on the phase.

If you look on the the two pictures there is a small picture at the top right that shows the waveshaper setup.

also have a look at that thread:

best regards,
Boris :)

Many thanks Breitner !!!

Now I can startup to build a planetZ bank for my synth. I will start this bank with your 11 first presets.

I already got 38 presets from the french speaking MAOMusique community.

My own counter now reach more than 40 presets.

I would probably release the synth when I reach 128 presets to offer a full bank together with it
