Vocals are too commercially stylised for me, but I'm very keen on the music. The string tones are especially beautiful. Track elements have a great fit and balance.

It's always so refreshing to me when someone uploads a track with vocals, acoustic guitars and other acoustic instruments as a change from synths, drum synths and samples etc.
A breath of fresh air this track Wayne.
The strings are beautiful, the acoustic guitar sounds nice and the vocals capture the mood of the lyrics well.
Nice mix nice track - thanksfor uploading.

amazing quality of ideas and production - really looking forward for that album of the project

at first I wasn't too comfortable (very, very minor concern) with the voice placement (opposed to 'landslide') but you probably just intended this 'lost' position - and finally I cannot imagine any better way.

oops forgot: what the hell are those bars in Sydney where the female staff plays violin this way ? or am I missing something here...

They know each other well, and improvised the parts - something to be said for that approach.

The album is certainly a long time coming - getting people to commit a week to it has been impossible.

But perhaps we can do it soon - we have our first gig in ages tonight, as Simon's just got back from Germany with a covers(!) band.

He quit the covers band when he got back - they rarely let him sing, just piano and left hand organ bass. You could say he was misused a bit, as the actual lead singer is nothing to write home about.

The upshot is, the German promoter noticed this, and says he would have Si back with his own band.

There's quite a bit of musician's "own worst enemy" syndrome

to get around in the meantime, but I would hope to be handing you a cd personally in Germany sometime in the next year.

Lovely stuff, although I find the vocals a little too affected (not with "effects"; how they're sung). What a difference real strings make!

I certainly wouldn't call the guitar playing ham-fisted...perhaps he suffers from "red light syndrome" like I do
