Re: Mac advantages?

Ha, you talk about this antic mac Classic I was using for typing my Namm reports back in the early 90's ? I was dreaming about buying a Mac LC to replace the Atari for midi sequencing.. A scanner was as expensive as a little car. I don't know much about the original Apple machines and os appar...

Re: Mac advantages?

aHem Astroman, unles I totally misunderstood the subject, I don't think things have changed to that extend. Dstd table, Efi partition or PcEfi and such are only to fake macintosh "Apple Efi". It's more of a Hackintosh thang. The com.apple.boot.plist is there on regular osx mac nowadays. Ju...

Re: Mac advantages?

I've been double booting my laptop beetween Windows 7 and leopard 10.5.7 for two months and I quite like it. Recently I went ahead and built a nice pc rack rig with a Gigabyte EX58-UD5, I7 920, 6 gigs DDR3, two Nvidia double head card and I'm waiting for a Decklink HD extreme to arrive soon (3x19&qu...

Good to hear you're still looking after this very good device.
One of the best synth freebies of the scope platform (along John Bowen's one).
Great great great.... :)

Re: Any news for a final/next release of SCOPE V5???

Well I reinstalled my os and scope/Nuendo.
It works much much better in XTC mode now !

Thing is, I'm slowly moving to mac and hoping a total mac switch one day if the scope drivers ever come.

Mac OSX 64 bits drivers would be great !

Re: Any news for a final/next release of SCOPE V5???

Yes Xtc working 100% please ! At the moment I have to use SFP mode (pretty stable) because I experienced so many blue screens in xtc with 5.0 rc... !!! Reinstalled fresh system today to see if it's any better. If SonicCore can/want/are trying to do a great release, then it's great. Otherwise, well, ...

I never thought I would meet the characters that inspired John Boorman back in 1972.

Ugly, ugly.

arghh ! I hate typos. I meant dole of course. But now, If I think of it, a doll would be nice too ! ;-) Nice game Nightscope, thanks for the memories ! @ Stardust : I'm always amazed by this uncounscious will our US friends show about sticking to certain (negatively perceived) stereotypes. This is e...

Re: Dick Armey Fired From DLA Piper

Hey Brotha man Gary (as Jimmy V would say), no offense intended, but I think you should travel a bit more overseas. Maybe you did, but I reckon your views on the world are very narrow minded by the US facts. There are indeed a few places where health care is much more accesible for the unwealthy. In...

Re: Dual Monophonic Playing

Thanks Jimmy ! Wow, there's a lot going on in the filter sweep departement here... It's almost too rich for anything else. Talking about fat :o Great demo ! Although, I hear you changed the phrasing on the lower line from 1'32" to 1'38". Why not indeed. I'm so used to the original phrasing...

The Harlem Baptist church I was going to (around 110th street) wasn't with a preacher with a big chief hat on.... :o :D Lucky you, go to the church on sunday. There would be something decent in my city, I reckon I'd go too ! here is something to chew for you in the meantime. http://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: R.I.P. Micheal Jackson / Ed McMahon / Farrah Fawcett

Yes Jimmy, I think you're spot on ! I felt in love with the keyboards at the age of 7 in a church when I heard a guy playing a string synthesizer ! So much nicer than what I was used to hear on the catholic churches in France. When I lived in NYC, I used to go to the Gospel Chuches in Harlem on sund...

Yeah, Stevie is a pure genius, so was Michael Jackson. The funerals were outstanding and full of emotions. I could feel the shiver here in France throught TV. The final of "We are the world" actually succeded in me having a few tears out of my eyes. Man, those american fellows can really s...

Bye Michael !
An incredible talent has passed away.
I never saw him on stage and now it's too late....

Life is strange sometimes, so was Michael.

Eternal Peace to U.

Love to all the living ones.

Re: P2 cable set - can it be made?

Geoff, making one looks like a huge task (unless you're super good at soldering mini pins).
Easy to screw something.
Unless you'd want the xlr version, I've got one spare (3 midi dins, 2 spdif rca, 4 analog rca).
Where do you live ? Come over to Marseille and get one free, or you pay for the shipping.

Re: XTC and devices with multiple outputs

xtc will be good if you can use it in cunjunction with normal standard mode, ie, a few stereo effects in the sequencer, and the big devs in the scope projects, where they are meant to be, for free and easy routing. Yes that'd be good !! Xtc/sfp mode is totally feasible as those tweaked xtcproject.p...
