I'm using DX9 without problems..

My only problem with DX9 is that I must have installed Sonar 2 BEFORE i install DX9, since the Sonar installer does not recognize a newer version than 8.1.

They might have fixed the installer on later releases of the program, but I would be cautious if I had any DX8.1 software not installed yet..

Installing DX9 after Sonar is no problem though.. I just hope I don't need to reinstall it..

Thanks for your answer. I have been waiting for some experiencies to be written before going... I'm in the process of installing right now, and the experts recomend for you to install DirectX quite soon in the list. I guess it's not too bad to install it after I've done with other important problems. Nevertheless, I plan to go back facing any problem, through ghosting... Cheers.

I coudn't get the 8.1 properly installed, so I went with the DirectX 9.0a and so far, it's rock solid! Touching wood!"
