In case you weren't looking: if you load an effects processor into SFP and select a preset, the preset name becomes visible in the Live Bar.
Wondering why I am stating what is probably obvious to many of you? I anguished over this often. I've always wished there was a way to determine which preset I used for a particular effect/device/project. Sometimes, I'll pull up a preset which suits my needs and then almost immediately forget which preset it was that I selected (must have been those 200 acid trips I took back in high school). Without a visual reference of some kind, it's difficult or impossible to tell (unless you write it down on paper).
I usually have the Live Bar condensed so that I can only see the device icon(s). The other day I was playing around with it and I noticed that the preset names appear to the right of the icon (of course, the Live bar has to be widened in order to see it - duh!).
This only applies to effects/devices which are loaded into/onto the project window. An effect in a mixer channel insert loses the ability to tell you what preset is loaded. That might be a nice addition to a future upgrade - don'tcha think?
