Hello!

Today, I experienced a bizarre atittude from my beloved Pulsar, and I thought I tell you to see if anybody had come across such a thing.
Basically, SFP seemed to work fine, projects/modules etc loaded fine, and there were no problems in the Device Manager of Windows (no "(!)"). However, Windows Media Player, Cubase, WaveLab and all other programs were saying that there is no Soundcard installed on this PC!!
I did 3 System Restores but no luck! Everything seemed fine, but Pulsar was not working!
Finally, I found out that Pulsar was syncing to the SPDIF and there was no clock. Which is logical...since I have nothing connected to the SPDIF!
I cleaned with alcohol the RCA SPDIF connectors and voila!! Clock came back and everything works again fine!
How bizarre, aint it?

I always thought you had to change sync-settings in the samplerate settings box ... now you say I should do it with alcohol!!

do you mean the clock returned after that treatment without connecting anything - that would indeed be a miracle

The clock was reading: -----
And the red light next to SPDIF sync was lit.
After I put alcohol on the connector, the light goes off, and hey hey, 44100 appears on the clock!!
No kidding!
