There's a bunch of mp3 examples on adern's webpage: http://www.adern.com/
Ohhh ... All those beautifull Us are download links to mp3 files. I didn't notice. I actually only overlooked the site very briefly. I know so little about modular synths, so I figured this would probably be nice to have and then hope one day do understand
Actually it wasn't before a few days ago, that a friend of mine showed me, what granular synthesis is ... the introduction was inspired by the Flexor page.
I like the draw thing from the looks of it - I guess, I can easily spend a lot of hours having fun with just that thing.

Hi,
I'm helping to beta test the Flexor package, and I can tell you that I am the most ham-fisted modular designer around. Really, I need step-by-step walkthru's to build even a simple synth.
I tend to use the Flexor modules to build effects devices - I tend to run pretty much everything in Logic thru Flexor's saturation shapers and the filters. They really are that good. As with any proper filter they seem to give the sound that elusive 'oomph' just by running thru them.
anyway that's not a scientific evaluation or anything, but trust me flexor is going to be something that EVERYONE can use, not just the geeky wire-heads amongst us
peace

I can ensure everybody that one of the main elements of the Flexor project is the deep investigation of the most secret desires of modular fanatics.
The bunch of beta testers in the project (as you can guess I am one) are all modular hard users, with deep desires of new functionality and with workflow optimization ideas matured as "users".
This, together with the insane devotion for the quality and accuracy of the sound, is going to make many dreams come true.

Hi Chris - that's what I was thinking too...
As for the devices, I hope the Flexor pack includes some for download (somewhere). IMHO that's the great weakness of the default Modular - for the most part the CW devices are quite poor.
Of course you can download plenty of good constructions on the Z, but that's not going to be the case with Flexor.
For people to get the most out of this I think they'll need some pre-built devices to see it action and start modifying...
But I'm probably just stating the obvious.

I was several times on that channel Atomic, saw Ken and others but no conversation developed, I leaved.
To Flexor, how about a drawable sequencer as it is in Reaktor, you can draw the notes, cutoff and resonance in seperate arrays. This is a lovley way to edit and draw sequences, the obvious ensamble is an good example. Is that possible to make? Or is it already done?
cheers...

What a joy that would be ! The Mod-II/III sequencer modules are worse than useless.
The base level for simple pattern sequencers (now established for a couple of years!) is a mouse-drawable 32-step (minimum) pattern. This business of fiddling with a tiny slider and watching the note number in 16-steps is history - or should be.
