Anyone? I'm thinking of getting Samplitude. I've used the demo but I'd really like to get in contact with someone doing recording and editing with midi as well.

well I tried the demo as well and I think it's obvious that it's not very good for midi. At least not at this moment.

I wouldn't say that Samp is not very good for MIDI; I'll say that it could be more complete, but the basics are there.

The real bad point for Midi in some situations is that there is no tempo change yet.

I'm a Samp Pro user, and I'm confident that the MIDI will be improved in this soft, as the devellopers said...Coz we users want it.

But the audio is really fantastic, really superior with this app, that's why I bought it and sold my Masterverb Pro and my Optimaster (I didn't sold my Vinco )

Samplitude is nice, and as you refrase it: The MIDI part is not complete. For some people this means, that Samplitude is bad for working with MIDI.

As a Samplitude user, I understand your enthusiasm, but awoiding/denying the weak sides of the program doesn't benefit your mission.

Hmm... just checked it out yesterday and I agree. The audio IS NOTHING but fantastic. The reverb is great and so is the master compressor. But there are some - easy - stuff I'd like to see in Sam7 before I leave SX.

I'll drop them a mail about my thoughts.

Carl.

from what i've seen,(i'm a sam user)samplitude's mixer section is not that cool(the new mixer is MUCH better!).i do like the audio editing features, however, which is why i like that product for mastering.getting the tracks in order and burning cd's is well handled.i really think that as an overall production tool, logic or sx are miles ahead.(just my opinion grok!please don't shoot me! )

also,$1100 is kinda out there as far as price goes....oh! they give free shipping tho!

I will not shoot you garyb, there's too much violence in our uncivilized human world

Sam Pro with Sam for Rent: 40€/month with free upgrades; directly from Magix (uh...maybe resellers will not be happy)

I think in two years I'll use a Samp 9 version

CC MIDI controller curves in Samp Pro 7.02; VST automation in the soon coming v 7.1 (with it's "Freeze" function, can't wait); quantization with percentages of quantize in 7.02; recording MIDI with punch in with 7.1
