I'm a bit ashamed over myself, but I haven't got the CW MIDI-ports to work and I wonder if there are any special trick / configuration you should do before they run as any normal MIDI port.

Let me explain.

I have a couple of synthesizers including a Nord Modular. All my MIDI traffic goes through a USB Midisport Interface. Works perfect.

To be able to edit the Modular you need to connect a second pair of MIDI cables to an interface. Usually I just change cables each time I want to do something in the Modular Editor.

Now I was thinking of hooking up the Nord to the Creamware MIDI in/outs and I just don't get it to work. The Nord software doesn't find the Modular if I connect it with the Creamware MIDIs. With the MIDISport is works just fine.

Is there any special think you should do i the routing page to make the MIDI ports act like normal?

Carl.

imho they are good for straight IO of notes on/off or controllers, but with sysex stuff there's a lot of trouble. It's said that a slowdown of transfer speed may help, but I simply added a $30 external box when having that trouble and never minded again.
I'd exchange the USB interface for one with several ports.

cheers, Tom

Oh... well. That would explain why I can't get it to work.

Thanks,

Carl.
