D type 25 pin connectors

I have been researching a preamp called the audio toys 8MX2 ( http://www.8MX2.com ) I looked at the I/O's and the only multitrack outputs are set up for a DA-88 (???) from a D type 25 pin connector. Any of you ever used such an animal? I was wondering how it could connect to an A/D converter.

it's a TDIF interface connector à la TASCAM

Thanks... I just did a bit of a web search and found DA-88 snakes (25 pin to TRS 1/4" plugs or XLRs) for about $80... It's the only way to multitrack from the 8MX2 (no individual outputs on each channel)
