Anyone got experience of Optimaster against VST mastering kit such as T-Racks - or others for that matter.
Optimaster seems to be less expensive, but is it cheap?

yup yup, it's the mastering season again!
Please check out the plethora of mastering threads available now, and also from the past. It's one of the hotter topics on everyone's mind.

I think T-Racks is ok if you're looking for an easy solution that sounds decent. It does have a sort of signature sound if you overuse it, but it's very easy to use on the other hand. A great starting point.

T-Racks sounds quite nice, it reproduces quite well the old analogue devices, but it can introduce some “ssssss” sounds. I agree with Ken, it’s a good tool to get started. It’s great if you use it only for guitar or bass sounds as well.
