Just a tip about using a big enough power supply. By the time you get 2+ hardrives, multiple cd/dvd drives, several Creamware cards with many sharcs, and a bunch of case fans (I found that using more lower speed "silent" fans produces much less noise and still cools well) you may find that a 250 or 300 watt power supply is too small. When I recently added several more drives and fans to my system, I suddenly aquired a bit of instability which went away after upgrading to a 461 watt power supply.

cheers,

Instability?
How does Windoze comment it?
(A friend of mine could have the same problem: it says something about 'Device Power State in Interrupt Service Routines', and we didn't find out what exactly..)

Fans shouldn't be a problem - they usualy consume about 1Watt.
