Hi,
in these days I'm fighting with the 10 midi ports limit in Windows 2000: I have gigastudio 4 midi virtual ports and the microsoft gs synth. Is there a way to limit the gigastudio ports to 2 and to remove completely the microsoft gs synth, in order to make room for sfp virtual ports???
I've searched in the registry but it seems very difficult to make this thing.

Any idea???

Many thanks,

Cochrane

Never used Giga, but it could be:
-in Giga options
-in a Giga app in Control Panel
-...

In win.ini the midiport are listed for Logic Audio on my machine. You can activate them by putting a 1 behind the = sign. Example:
Creamware port1=1 (active)
Creamware port1=0 (not in use)

Hope this answers your question.
