FX automation

hi there, how do i automate the pulsar effects using cubase 5?

if i have to automate say a filter sweep on a synth i just assign the CC# and draw an event in cubase on the channel the synth is, but the fx aren't assigned to any channels so how do i do it?

Hi,

Since effects have no MIDI in/out you can not automate them standalone. But when you load them into a mixer you can automate then using the MIDI connection of the mixer. To automate an effect without inserting into a mixer you can use the MultiFX M / MultiFX S ( Effects/Mono/Others or Effects/Stereo/Others ).

Many effects and synths for CW do have their own midi in/outs and are thus automatable. Make sure the channel is set correctly, right click on any fader/knob/button, write in whatever CC isn't being used on that channel and click the plus button.
