Do you mean the grey & green look ? My view swaps into that from time to time for no reason I can fathom...

Definitely your mashine. The fonts are not sent to you as they apear. They are sent as code and a message to your browser to use this or that font from the fontlibrary on your mashine.

So I'm the only one that gets two views of Planet Z depending on the phase of the Moon ?

Orange / blue / black
Grey / Green / white

I've had the 'changing look' too.

I thought it was a 'feature'.

Ah well, makes a change now and then!!

"changing look" is normally set in your preferences, and stored in a cookie on your computer. it should not change from itself, normally

Atomic, you're really starting to sound like a tech - lots of "normally" and "should" but no answers

But seriously, the view for me often changes when I make a post. The default is orange/black, and the occasional view is grey/green. Interesting...

ps: is this the only active non-3.1 thread today ? It's almost comforting to have this inconsequential chat as the hurricane of 3.1 blows all around . . .

Planetz has a bit of trouble with its cookies. sometimes it can not remember what threads are new or have new posts since your last visit. mine never changed colors though

I constantly get three different fount’s sizes. A very small one, of about “9”, a second one of about “12” and a large one of about “14”. They come an go now and then… for no reason.

You can always go here and reset it:
http://www.planetz.com/forums/prefs.php

however I suspect it's your browser or cookie acting up, as I have done phpBB sites before and not ever had any problems.

Since this is a very finnicky sort of thread can I mention one thing that really bothers me ? The graphic at the top which says "phpBB A Forum thats Free".... it should say "A Forum <b>that's</b> free".

It's a little thing, but it irritates me.

I don't remember ever having "changing look" at planetz. I use Opera.

That's bizarre. You should never see the phpBB grey/white forum theme, unless you specifically select it in your preferences. The planetz default theme is the dark-green backgroun with blue/green boxes, yellow text, and planetz-logo in the upper-left corner, with no "forum thats free" spelling mistake!!

If you're seeing the grey-green thing, please check you preferences and verify that the planetz theme is selected. If it is, and you're still seeing the grey/white theme, please contact me!

I just have the standard colurs, looks great. Compared to all other forums I´ve seen on the internet Planetz is definitely the most practical, welldesigned and userfriendly of them all. Everytime i visit other forums something annoys me. One really nice feature is the colorcodes for visited/nonvisited posts.

The best pulsarforum?!! More than that, the best forum overall! And the amount of qualified information...

We should all arrange a big party for John - in USA - a bit expensive for us europeans, and others, but could be quite interesting to see all of the people here live! (Maybe a start could be to add a photo to userprofile??) Have a nice evening everybody - I´m off for Kent (great swedish Indie Band)

I had the same "changing look" on both my home and work computers. I've now edited the preference view from "default" to "planet Z" and I'm back with the much more inviting green/blue/orange theme.

And yes Planet Z is the best forum ! There are many big pluses about this place and I won't embarass people by going into gushing detail, but apart from the obvious good points (the Z people of course!) I also like the layout, logical function of the boards and the fact there are no horrible ads or pop-ups !

All smiles here

I've thought about adding a picture to the user profile, which would show next to your name in the posts, but haven't figured out a good way to do it yet. Do you upload your pic to planetz, or do you host it somewhere else, and just add a link to it at planetz??? Not sure... Anyway, it's not too high priority

Hey, I never looked at the different forum looks, that can be choosen (not the anarcistic ones  ). I use Ocean at the moment. I think it is very easy to read.

Pictures with the names (or signatures) would be great
On other forums it's usually up to the user to host the pics...
