Honourable idea Eliam.
Many cultures believed that indulging in sex depleted crucial energies that should be reserved for more "spiritual" pursuits. These cultures ranged from the Native Americans to the Druids in Great Britain.
Mind you, it was not considered immoral in many belief structures just unwise metaphysically. Also, I believe it was considered more detrimental spiritually for men to have sex than for women to have sex.
Also, sex depletes your body's zinc levels. Take some zinc tablets if you have a lot of sex.
Now - could you be more creative musically if you give up sex?
I guess it's possible. The tension itself could bring some creative benefits.
However, if lack of sex produces better music, it really makes you appreciate some of the greats who bonked like rabbits.

I try to base my life choices on my own experiences because it's really first-hand and I feel I can rely upon that more than upon other's interpretations. On this subject, my personal experience is: I feel 400% more focused and productive in my activities when I don't get enmeshed in sexual thoughts and desires. I leave to each one to make their own choices, but I know very well that one can see the real effect of a habit when the behaviour is discontinued for a while. Then when it comes back, its results become more obvious.
It's like people who think that smoking grass makes them high (as I once thought!). Now I know for having stopped this smoking thing that someone begins to re-understand what it is to be high when he/she stops this intoxicating activity, and never before! Sex is the same! It gives a temporary sensual gratification but the price to pay is a waste of vital energy which the being needs to have the courage to pursue it's earthly pilgrimage! When you think of it, in terms of the mission that we have been given (to restore a harmonious way of life), then we can't afford to be distracted from our existential purpose, our deep Heart Desires for global peace, because it might be too late at some point, and God knows when!
I challenge you to try and see for yourself!! And the result is not a "tension", at least when the attention is governed and focused upon constructive activities, but rather an pressure of creative energy which can be used for whatever we choose!! My dear friends, this pressure of Light is the only thing in the Universe which can guarantee our protection in times of turmoil! Each one chooses his master, and I hope you choose Love as your own!

The Essence for me is this energy which is given to everyone of us for our daily activities, and I realized that to flow more fluently and abundantly through us, It must be given constantly and selflessly. But given in a spirit of true compassion, like a mother to a child, with pure Love. I have come to desire the greatest good for everything that lives and when I see someone who isn't experiencing harmony (which is almost everyone!) I demand to Life that this being be flooded with the most dynamic purity and Sacred Fire that will compel people to live in happiness.
I haven't found anything like it anywhere, anything that even compares to the happiness I receive by commanding Life to rectify what is not harmonious. In this way I give constantly my Essence of Love to every being, and it makes me REALLY HAPPY!!!
