I now understand why you wanted to upload it    This is a cool patch, it's good real nice sounds!! Comes w load of presets, great work man!

Gonna play some more w it now. This patch will definitely be used in some projects

Here's the explanation of the patch:

Nova Hard 2 Patch for Modular 2 by fra77x

3 Multi Oscillators
3 Adsr & Mod Envelopes
2 Multi A Lfo with feedback
3 serial connected stereo inserts
Simulation of the Sync skew operation
The 2 of the envelopes and the 2 lfo 's can modulate Pitch - Sync each oscillator individually

Some notes: The patch uses the obsidian invertor module (i have include the dsp file in the zip )

It is heavy enough. 3 voices only on a Pulsar 2 to allow the presets to load without interrupts (it can "reach" 4)

On the modulation area the switches are used to invert the modulation signals.
They are situated by order (lfo1-lfo2-env2-env3). At the first position the signal is inverted. At the second its normal.

To determine an external rate for the lfo's use the frequency divider (1st-2nd outs)
There are several modules on the far right ?(hidden..) Don't change their values.

They are 3 xfademod modules above the oscs. They determine the sync skew on each osc.
At value 0 the waveforms are clear. (no sync). The Global Sync Skew fader in the middle does what it says it does.
Watch the presets and experiment while listening 1 osc at the time.

have fun!!

hello fra77x,

you had some really great questions and ideas in and about modular synthesis before i came here, but you all but disappeared after a few months of posting.

its good to see your still around

anyway, this patch sounds like it has some interesting things going on, "sync skew", is this cycling the waveform start , back and forth from the "peak", otherwise known as soft sync?

i have read about this on the "nord modular" tutorials, looked like it may have been able to be done in some way on our modular with enough insight into the guts of the signal types and various inputs.

noted.....

please post a screenshot of the patch, preferably with cable hiding off. people who don't have v3 software can't load this patch (myself) but we still find it interesting to look at how a patch is layed out and garner some understanding from how things are hooked up, maybe recreating them.

a short mp3 is also a nice addition.

as atOmic maybe has pointed to, maybe you ought to post the description here? when i read your description in the modular talk forum i thought you mistook that forum for the modular patches forum. then i look here and see that you did indeed post the patch, but with no description?

anyhow...

thanks!

As I forgot the wiring in the snapshot I mailed to the patch creator, I'll show 2.04 users or people who do not own Mod2 how he's done it:

HI

can you tell me where i have to put this .dsp file? Let me repharse that: In which directory I have to store the file ?
thx. Wilbert

thanks for posting the all cabled inclusive screeshot atomic.

my suggestion.....

i think most people forget that cw has given us the ability to adjust cable tensions for each
and every cable.
for most patches it really doesn't need to be bothered with (still a good habbit to pick up, or for the anal ),
but for large patches where two modules are significantly further away from each other the default
behavior is just unacceptable, imo.

some patch points seem to breed strange super extended and looped cable patterns and or they dip ridiculously.

my newest patch (vectra) was detangled with liberal cable tension adjustment, for reference.

best.
