The bar where you select your synths and effects from is customiseable. If you put a new folder in the devices folder, it will appear in the proejct window bar. Great for easy access to your free synths, just put them in and then they appear.

(This works under SFP too!)

Yeah it did pay off, but it took a couple of months, maybe others that didn't know didn't have the guts to own up.

Heheh... It was the first thing I did after installing v3.01 in November. Even before trying to do anything else. Thought it was obvious.
I've divided all synths "Synths" folder by manufacturers. Defalut synths were put in "Creamware" subfolder, Wavelength's in their own etc. Later (when I bougth the ProPack) I did it with Modular's patches.

Btw, the same tip works with Modular (it's modules folders).

Ah, but did you know that you can also access folders outside 'Devices' from here too. They have to be on the same level as the 'Devices' folder and start with... 'Devices', eg. 'Devices_3.01'.

I've posted this before so sorry for repeating myself.

Creating new directories is easy, but you should know that sometimes it's impossible to drag or select the devices inside them. I had this problem with a directory called "3rd-Party". Perhaps because it began with a number? Anyhow, I now put all new devices under "Plug-Ins", and everything seem to work quite fine.
