<a name="planetz-file"></a><a href="http://www.planetz.com/Pulsar/files/mod ... .zip"><img src="/forums/images/file_icon.gif" border="0" alt=" File"> File</a><BR> <a name="planetz-tag"></a>Type: Ambient Construction Kit<BR> <a name="planetz-tag"></a>Pulsar Version: Pulsar 3.x<BR> <a name="planetz-tag"></a>Requires: Modular 2<BR> _____________________________________<BR><BR> Hello everybody and thanks for your click.
Well, here is a Patch you maybe not believe.
The aim was a standalone ambient box, just start it and the ambient will take you to- or into a good atmosphere.
The Patch is splitted in 4 Sections.

Section A is round the Wind: Pink and White Noise goes to Vocal Filters and will be modulated by 8 LFO´s .Always two LFO mixed together to get weird Waves and so we get sweet motions in the Wind.
Additionally we have two sequences.
One 007 OSC and one multiOSC will flow into Combfilters that are controled by 3 ControlSequencer !each .

Section B: Here we can found 4 sequences .
Two Waldorf OSC´s modulated by pitch modifiers and two multi LFO´s each.
The other two OSC in this Section are FM Operators ,filtered by CombFilters that are modulated again by two multi LFO´s each.

Section C: Drums 1-4 !now the Drums. Here we get 4 Drum Osc driven by a MDS8 and the Pattern Sequencer.

Section D: Drums 5-8
Two DrumSynths and two DrumOsc´s will fill up the Sections.

The Patch is in a 8x8 matrix and all the wind, Sequences and Drums are Sub Mixed with 4 MicroMixers. So you can easy turn Section on or off by use of the MicroMixers. Or take only one Drum or sequence or wind and mute the others in their Volume. I think this is the best way to handle all the stuff.
All Sequences are played by Midi Note(monophone). If you press a note all 6 sequences will start, you can edit there appearance by the ADSR´s .
The Wind and Drums play all the time until you mute them.
This Patch is developt on a Pulsar 1 with a SRB Board OS 3.01 Modular2.You will need at least 7 or 8 DSP to load it and you should have the TextModular2 modul.
If you are use Cubase or Logic you will like the 8x8 matrix because you can easy add Effects for the Wind or Compres the Drums.

Section A Wind SEQ1 SEQ2 = out 1+2
Section B SEQ3 SEQ4 SEQ5 SEQ6 = out 3+4
Section C Drums 1-4 = out 5+6
Section D Drums 5-8 = out 7+8

In the preset list you will find 1 ambient splitted in 4 Versions.More I program soon.

Hope you will find this thing useable and you have fun to build your own Ambients or sonic worlds with the Ambitosphere.
Please send me your comments and preset lists!!

Thank you for the vote but maybe you would type a review for this patch so I can learn to make things better or leave them as they are.
For example, what you think to split the sections in several patches?
Over 80 hits and nobody has something to say?

Well, IT IS HUGE! I have 7DSPs, and i couldn't load the patch without removing all asio driver, wav driver, physical ios, replace the pulsarmixer by micromixer, and i barely load it! BUT! It create some WEIRD sound man! Somebody told me here before that i was strange? Well, check this out!

Humm... I have a single Pulsar II board (6 DSPs). With this patch easily loaded plus Midi In and Audio Out there's still nearly one whole DSP remains free. Am I lucky or what?

Hi Chris,
till now I can only say what the others wrote - very big! - first impression sound is something like a little bit crazy. So I`ll test it in detail during the next days.
See you

chris:

impressive for a first patch! looks like you went at it no holds barred. i can't try it out because i'm running an earlier cw os, but on second thought, well...even if i did have os 3 i couldn't use the patch cause i only have an elektra (3 dsps). having seen what some others have said about its dsp useage. really any patch that takes more than 3 dsps you probobly should note this in the description when you post it. and in fact when your doing up your post one of the requirements one can state is "a lot of dsp!".

if i were on accessing the internet via a phone line, downloaded yer patch and turned out that i couldn't even run it because it took so much dsp - i would be a little peeved.

anyhow, i still have a have suggestion from looking at the image of it

the drum modules (all but the hihat source) have built in decay envelopes, and vca's. so it is kind of redundant to have one of each, externally per drum module.

this won't save a whole lot on dsp by getting rid of them (roughly 16%), but it would free up some space.

best.

Wow, just had a look at the image, HUGE man, downloading the patch now I'll let you know what it sounds like, but I'm a little worried about all the dsp-power it needs, as I only have 7 dsp's (pulsarI+lunaII). I hope it loads OK but we'll see ...

Hi Chris,

Great patch! You're doing a mini song in modular, which is impressive!

If you want, I can post an mp3 for the people who can't load the patch.

Hi Chris,
great work! I now have tested it and it sounds very good. You need a little bit time to understand what you can do with it.

WhoaO! Somehow I´m loosing the overwiew now...
I´ve not yet discovered all of its possibilities, I guess. But what I heard so far is more than nice. It´s somehow like a Modular version of the "Reason"software. Really fat!

Sorry that I´am so late with my answer.
I decided to split the 4 Sections into different patches so any of you can load a part of the ambitosphere. I think in the next few days I could upload them.
Thank you again for your feedback and hints
(Castol).
The single Patches will be filled up with new
Presets. By myself I don´t know what is all possible with the Ambitosphere but I think it can deliver something to anybody. It´s up by us.
@ atOmic , it would be nice if you could upload a MP3 for the ambitosphere, I ´am glad to here something from it and from other hands. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks again to ChrisWerner. This patch could be a whole studio- you only need speakers to connect, and off you go. Wanna know how I went? Listen to this one.
