noah seems a great synth, but according to me CW should give the possibility to integrate his hardware synth into a scope/pulsar platform...
a simple board with a stdm but should connect noah to a pulsar, and then you shoul control noah entirely in pulsar: imagine a "noah digital in", "noah digital out", "noah B3000" into the pulsar environment...
THIS would be a great advance in music making...
for what i read, noah is "just" another synth with the USB connection to the PC...
Noah: according to me CW made a mistake...
You cannot extent high speed cables like STDM to an arbitrary lenght, they have to be very short to operate correctly.
USB is for shure the most simple and cost effective way to upload/save something today and you have even cards to be failsafe in live situations.
I've read a deeper review of the unit recently and find it's concept much more appealing than before - good job, CW.
Everything introduced with NOAH will shurely run on Pulsar as well and vice versa.
They paid lot of attention to the physical modelling stuff, seems very interesting

but only 16 knobs..........
More than most workstations from Yamaha (think Motif, EX5, etc), Korg (think Trinton LE, Karma), Kurzweil (think K2000), and Roland (Phantom??). And of course more external control boxes could be utilized, as with any of the above synths.
I would venture a guess that "only 16 knobs" was based on a decision that all knobs will have their associated Parameter Names displayed on the 2 screens - so you can see which knob tweaks which parameter easily. More knobs would mean more screen space to display these parameters. Of course, I don't know if it's going to work this way, just an educated guess, which would seem to make good sense in use.
