Is it possible to load soundfont 2 files on a pulsar ][ card ? The filebrowser does see my .sf2 files and even names them correctly. The akai sampleplayer offcourse doesn't load them correctly..?? are there any devices who do ?? are they anywhere available for download ??

Subject: not really

hi,
you cannot load them directly, but you can do this:
get a program like awave which can convert sf to akai-samples!
sometimes it works, sometimes you will need additional help.
but that´s the way! the pulsarsampler is not loading them directly!

I've tried to do this, but never could. If someone knows how to, please explain thanks. Nestor.

I have the STS-3000 and it loads soundfonts fine. I just select them in the file browser and drag them into the pool window.

Subject: my god, try to convert it!

hi all,
try to convert this ugly soundfonts! progs like awave are available at nearly each 2nd server or something like this!
try to convert them to akai-samples. then it works!
sure, you have to convert! but i think, that´s the way because the sampleplayer can´t understand this format!

While I haven't tried any Soundfonts yet, the STS4000 documentation says it works. No reason not to believe it. It would certainly be easier to buy this than convert lots of files unless you have a batch processing conversion program. (If anyone knows such a program, please post it).
