I have just built a new system and I am trying to install the pulsar software.

I have installed up to 3.01, but I am not sure that 3.01b is installing properly.

The creamware site says something about installing the OXE file of the plugin afterwards?!?! What does this mean?

The installer just quits without any confirmation of anything being installed, and when I run pulsar the 'about' screen only shows that I have got 3.01 installed.

I am also having some trouble with the 'wave device' when openng Logic.

Can anyone help?

Nice one

hi,

oxe files are Pulsar installation files (or so). The note in the manual was for people having additional devices (sold separately: found in CW online shop, for instance). So if you have any you should install them after updating to 3.01. If you have not - don't mess your head

Thanx for the info!

The other thing that I wanted to know is:

when installing the 30.1b patch, do you get a confirmation message when the installation has finished?

The 'about' page in the Pulsar does not actually say version 3.01b - it just says 3.01.

The reason that I don't think that the 3.01b patch has worked is that when loading Logic Audio 4.81, it sometimes hangs when trying to load the 'wave device'.

any more info would be great.

I don't know much about PCs (I'm a Mac user) so I don't know about the 3.01b patch in practise, but: you say you have problems with Logic and XTC mode: the note on CW site doesn't mention anything about fixing such problem. No confirmation message: did any of the previous updates had one? If yes - there could be something wrong with your installer (but not obviously), then try to download it once more; if no - you have nothing to worry about

We, mac users have also a patch (dual screen patch) which has no use for me and I didn't install it at all.
