The Celmo Supreme is a rotten name but a great synth. Celmo's gear is so beautifully smooth and easy to operate. I've got both the BassmanIII and Deep Blue, so you'd think I'd be cured, but no, I'd like the Supreme as well. Thicker, sweeter, analog is hard to find, plus there's good punchy bass and versatile pitch mod and env control.
Then I poked around with the Pro One. Celmo may be sweet but this is grainy, grindy, hard, full, "real" analog. It bleeps and squwarks. The sequencer and arpegiator is fun too. Annoying timeouts all the time - well it is a demo...
If you're going to play with the Pro-One then don't forget the Prophet-Plus. It really reminds me of the good old days of analog. By this time the Supreme is still sweet, but not so real. THIS is real. Good effects section and a nice layout. Fun doing the old Gary Numan riffs.

Let's leave analog and try FM. I was never a big fan of FM but FreakMod is interesting. Strangely there are lots of presets but few that seem to show off how really crazy this thing can sound. Start fiddling with the operators and this thing just careens off sideways into la la land. Where the presets all seem to be trying to emulate analog sounds I think it should be going in the other direction: this is a fantastic effects machine. With a new set of presets and a better GUI (sorry but it's really hard to read and lacks contrast) I think it could be a great machine. Bring on the FreakMod II.
Is that the time ?! Ah, but you can just drift away with this stuff. Love it.
