Hi!

I just wondered why there is no kind of "VST-adapters" for pulsar effects. I think it wouldn't be so hard to code, wouldn't it? Someone would have to code a dll that provides the necessary functions as declared in the vst-standard. The "essential" part, the audio-processing-routine would route the audio through an Pulsar-/Scope-Module (source) the dest-Part gives the processed audio back to the dll and that gives it back to cubase.

I would try to do it by myself, but the Development-Tools only work with the (expensive) Scope-Boards. If I could develop with my single Pulsar1, I would try!

Is there an developer out there who also thinks, it could be possible?

Thx,
Robby

Subject: vst adapter

this is kind of pointless, because it would be a lot easier to route audio in and out of the pulsar environment with ASIO or MME modules and have a shell for VST plugins/instruments.

Obviously, this means that you cannot use ASIO for a sequencer... but surely if you have Cubase or Logic, you'll know that it's already possible to route live inputs from Pulsar through plugins.

If you use pulsar on its own computer (separate from sequencer computer) this is undesirable, so it's quite handy that Fxpansion software is currently working on a standalone VST shell called RTFX - check out preliminary details on their website (www.fxpansion.com)

I just re-read your post

I think maybe you are talking about using Pulsar effects on cubase tracks - again this is entirely possible using multi-i/o ASIO source/dest modules.

Subject: Re: vst adapter

Right, that was my intention. I already used routing to use Pulsar-effects in cubase and VST-effects in the BigMixer, but the latency makes it difficult to handle.
I thought, there was something like an adapter to route in the pulsar-environment without that high latency... Impossible?
