Can't find file for STW devices

Another issue
I get this message when trying to load an STW effect plugin

It doesn't seem to exist on my computer, at least, I can't find it. Without it my STW eqs won't work. I've never had any problem with these before.

Any help would be great

oh, the never ending story of the hidden/system file attributes in the dsp folder...
You dont't find that file because the name in he dialog is mapped to a different filename in the dsp.idx (text) file.
The file is right in place, but got the wrong attributes which happens for obscure reasons.
This should get you back on track:
Goto command prompt and navigate to the folder where it is and type

attrib -s -h *.dsp

This will remove both system and hidden attribs for all dsp files

that really is only in XP. file attribute problems don't happen in the newer OS.

those files aren't on the SC server?

Win 10, scope 7. Never had this problem in XP or Win 7. I didn’t think to look on the server. Not sure if it’s a scope or stw problem.
Everything else is fine.

i'm guessing that the actual file's name is different than the error message suggests.

perhaps there is another version than you have. which device(s) exactly?

Thanks Gary, I’ll have a look on the server. I have the STW bundle III. I only use the comps and eqs. You’re probably right about the file name, as there is no parallel eq or anything else that the message refers to.

UPDATE:
Downloaded and reinstalled the STW bundle from the server and BINGO!!
Phew.
That file name does not exist btw. Probably a corrupt file of another name. May be it was what caused my previous problems as well. I wouldn't know.
