Where are all the XTC plugins?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

Now that is a GOOD question. So far it seems most developers are just getting their heads into the XTC side of things. XTC also needs a few kinks worked out with Cubase/Logic/XP etc, so I imagine once developers start using the XTC mode more themselves, they'll port things over...

Already there is the test devices from SpaceF and huicholity...

I dont use XTC and it allw orks fine  personally I dont know why this XTC mode is so interesting...

It's already easy to route signals from and to pulsar/cubase without any problem (well, since I installed OS3.0 + win2k).

I was very anxious about XTC at first, but now I'm not sure of the advantages.

Personally I find the idea of VST based DSP accelleratorcards ridiculous...
The reason I spend almost $10.000 on DSP power is that I have a (near) zero latency working enviroment, so introducing extra latency in my multitracker/sequencer seems one big step backward.

I haven't even gotten XTC to work proberly on my setup. But then again, I'm a Logic user, and VST compatibility is not Logic strongest side.

Anyway, I won't be concerned with making my Scope devices XTC compatible. (When I finally get som time to actually finish some of them )

Also: The Scope/DP version 3 and the techniques used to create XTC/Pulsar3 devices is quite different than older versions, so it takes some time for developers to learn...

Kim.

Thanks Kim.

I prefer the XTC mode myself, because I dislike creating projects. Simple as that. So the more devices will be available as XTC plugins, the happier I'll become.

Hi!
yeah, I've been in the process of converting all my Plugs (fiLtheR, Infini Looper, LeveL-DeviL etc.) to XTC but it's sapping my waking hours!.

Many hours required for successful conversion and learning of the new procedures which are much more involved than before as the Plug-ins now have to be reconverted (remade)to be compatible with the graphics needs of the host program. (the XTC Sequencer)

I too can see the XTC possibilities which for me are the fact that you can pretty much run NUENDO,LOGIC AUDIO, CUBASE etc. as if a DSP Protols like system without having two programs always running.
They are in the works...
