Just speculating - are you able to change which codec Sonar uses for playback with Sonar?

I believe I was fiddleling with video codecs in Cubase many years ago - so maybe it's worth checking it out.

Good luck.

hi petal.. its good to see you here after a long time :)
somebody told me to install this codec. https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases
it didn't work. the problem is when i play the daw, video flicks(goes to black and come back again) for 1 frame. and if i zoom video not shows the right position. so i ..

1. update windows 7 ult 64bit
2. update video card software nvidea Geforce 270GT
3. install windows 7 codec pack (from ms site) there are too many codec site is out there :(
4. install new codec from: https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases

problem remains same.

I don't think you need to install a new codec, not all kinds of video codecs are supported. FX Sonar X3 only supports AVI, MPEG and QuickTime video:

http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?p ... 2.010.html

Maybe you are trying to playback a video file with non-supported video codec?

Try to experiment with different types of codecs among the three and see which gives you the best/smoothest result.

Good luck
