LUFS &/OR K - Meter capable analyser for Scope?

Post by auntybiotic »

Greetings, all.

I am shifting to using to the Bob Katz K-metering system for mastering, anticipating a significant change in how 'loudness' will be regulated over the coming years ( & hopefully ending the loudness wars once and for all).

I wonder if there are any existing or planned 'analyser' plugs which use K-Metering, or any that can show LUFS?

I am looking at the Meterplugs stuff (K-Meter, Perception and LCAST vsts) but would prefer to stay in the Scope environment for all metering if possible to do so.

I already have the Wolf Audio packs which are great but don't show LUFS or K scale etc.

Cant seem to find anything else that does either but please correct me if i am wrong.

ANy suggestions?

Many thanks all,
Mark

A number of years ago Shroomz (I think) developed a nice VU meter that had K scales (-12 & -14 from memory)
I can't remember the name of it, but when I get back in the studio I will post the details.
Edit: I just remembered it was called 'Peakaboo'.

Many thanks for the Peakaboo tip ! The problem is I cannot seem to find it for download. If it is a free one, would it be possible to post it in a zip file?

Check Shroomz 'Hightimes' meter.
It supports K20, K14 and K12.

For me, HighTimes does not work in Scope 5.1 PCI or XITE.

Ah ?
Here, it works properly on xite.

I don't remember if it is this one but there is a device like this with which the Scope file doesn't want to open after saving.
Anyway, Hightimes works for me.

You can find it here :

I know it sounds a little odd, but check behind your mixer, project window, etc.
I noted that when I opened it, the 'aways on top' button does not work.
I thought it had not opened, but there it was hidden behind the project window.
