SCOPE - Your personal highlights 2013

Post by dante »

For ScopeRise, Id like to review 2013 - and get an idea of what were some of the personal highlights everyone experienced on the platform (during 2013 only).

For me :

1) The rise of BC Modular
2) New ways of production using dNa plugs in particular Summer of 82
3) The Zarg bundle sale and also Solaris Core
4) Upgrading to Windows 8 to get 8 GB RAM

Windows 8 was a highlight? :o

(Sorry, but I really hate the direction they're taking Windows - Fisher Price interfaces are not for professional users).

Where does one find the Solaris Core download? Was the license part of the Zarg Bundle?

Yes, due to getting 8 gig - I spose I could have said 'going 64 bit' instead. Anyway - really - it's just another OS.

Really ? Didn't you create a great track in 2013 ?

Mr Arkadin - didn't you make a patch library that got downloaded over 400 times ? I'd call that a highlight.

GaryB - what was your best or most fun XITE sale for the year ?

Dawman - your best gig - or has Vegas become passé now ?

Kensuguro - is your scope still broken ?

Gotta love the passion.

Where's braincell ? Even a cynical highlight would be better than none :D

- The massive 5.1 summer sale: upgraded 5 boards on one time! :o
Finally I have my beloved Prodyssey everywhere <3

- The massive Zarg sale!

- The construction of a new scope 6DSP system with a mini itx board, intel atom, SD HHD (13 sec. boot-up), ultra-portable (it fits in a backpack).

- And last but not least, I moved to London and, in July, I became the graphic design art director of sE electronic international (corporate, advertising, web). Blue chip. Oh, yeah! http://www.seelectronics.com

Great year :D

I really love from our catalogue the Gemini II and the RNR1, top class astounding sound!
And the Reflexion Filter is for me a unexpected surprise as it is effective.

It was a really good year for Scope SDK developments with lots of new devices posted here on Z. It's great to see some new developers coming through and also a few old ones resurfacing.

I think roy thinnes deserves a special mention for his efforts in 2013.

Well to be honest I had a bad year and I'm thinking the highlight of 2013 was when it ended and became 2014.

This year should see a new rackmounted all-powerful PC with Windows 7 64-bit. I really hope MS change direction with the backlash they've got for 8 but like most big corporations they'll probably steam along this path in their arrogance.

My patches was just an update from something started in 2009 so can't really put that in.

The rise of dNA was the best highlight for me.
