Midi tools - cc filter/blocker for scope

Post by petal »

In my pursuit of trying to make Live my main companion with scope, I've run into a new problem.

When I try to use Live with my Roland D20, I can't get the hold/sustain pedal to work right:
If I play a Live Instrument (fx the grand in Simpler/Sampler) on my keyboard, the sustain pedal doesn't work.
If I record a Live Instrument played on my keyboard, including the sustain pedal, the sustain data is being recorded correctly in Live, but you still can't hear it during recording.
When I play back the recording, the sustain data is working as expected and the recorded midi material plays out right.

As it turns out, old Roland keyboard sends an "all notes off"-message when the last key is lifted, even if you are pressing down the hold/sustain pedal.

Most daws (like cubase, which I'm starting to appreciate more since my ventures into "live"-lala-land) filter this message out and I've never encountered the problem before.

So now I'm in need of a midi filter, that will enable me to filter out these "all notes off"-messages which are being send on cc:123. I'd prefer to do this in scope if possible.
Does such a device exist for scope?

Cheers,
Thomas
