Hi everyone,
Just started using the STS 4000 and are having problems with notes dropping out within a single program, kinda like they are being stolen from another note. Voices and polyphony are up, so it shouldn't be these, and it only tends to happen sometimes, and most usually on the bassdrum! I'm using Midi Ch 10 within Cubase, and only a single STS program which contains about 6 rhythm notes, with each note going out an individial out (and the program iout set to Nothing).. and every now and then the bass will skip, although you can hear the first bit of it being played! Argh!
Any ideas?!? This one is annoying me!
Thanx,
Dayv
STS note dropout problem
A few things to try:
1. Check your envelope times in the STS & note lengths in your sequencer.
2. There is a global polyphony, and a program-level polyphony. Check both.
3. There is a 'priority' level. Consider setting important programs like the basedrum, to "high priority"
4. Check for midi-feedback loops, and note-doubling. These two things can cause all sorts of random problems, especially note doubling/tripling etc, which can eat polyphony faster than expected.
