DAW vs Scope when summing

Post by Music Manic »

Could anyone say there is a difference when summing between their DAW and their Scope card? I know there are phase discrepancies between channels in STM but are summing algorithms different in Scope?

Thanks

AFAIK if you make proper test summing 16 channels of audio in any of Scope mixer then comparing with FL Studio or Cubase file will give you perfect null (or phase cancel) so in short answer is - no. They are the same digital algorithms shared between numerous host/DAW applications(which is basically a simple sum). You can do your own test and you'll see. Just make sure you do everything right.
