About Gizzmo,

I never saw any gizzmo device so far, just that :

Where is this granular synthesis ? It looks awesome !
Why gizzmo is a known word in my memory ? Was it a 3rd developer long time ago ?

....

Hem... Maybe I confuse with celmo... Shh !

There was a guitar Gizmo which was invented by Godley and Creme - sort of an EBow/Sustainer idea but with plastic wheels.

Then there's Gizmo in Gremlins...

I think it the dev at S/C - Julian Schmidt - who was working on this - I think he worked on the Mod 4 -there are posts onZ about it in the past

soon ill be releasing one with sharcs new modular modules multisampling for the masses

dante the bass end will be there as i can do a sample for every note

and will be able todo a proper d50 emulation with it in modular form

and the kid spectra and e-piano will be fully multi velocity layered and samples for every key

im also doing a very interesting project

its going to be a new analog type string synth

i have created loads of multi cycle wavetables from transwaving samples of several string synths

from these i have generated over 1000 wavetable multicycle full 61note multisamples these have been sent of to have the tron treatment they will be processed

and recorded onto a 60,s tape machine using tape sat and tube and recorded on worn tape to give them the authentic tron sound

then ill reprocess then for perfect loops and make up the 61 note keymaps

the synth will have 3 multisample sample osc 16' 8' 4' 1 1 filter 1 vca per poly output as i will be building it with a poly at modules

so each of the 8 voices can have there filter amp or panning circuit note modulated which will give very expressive playing vibrato on one key like real string instruments can do

then each poly voice will have a 4 cascading chorus bdd with feedback

very exciting times ahead even with out scope 6

I use jhulk's samples on Solaris, and the Transwaves make Vectoring from Waldorf Wavetable to Prophet VS, to MultiOsc CEM S+T+P then to a Sample Oscillator truly devastating.

Glad to see others in the Community doing things that morons like me can use.

Good times are ahead of us. :)

yes i will be using the latest version so i can do the tricks on kids spectra with out using flexor modules as some dont have them

i have several things being designed at the moment that should be great synths with lots of possibilities for sound design

the d5000 is one

its based on the inner workings of the roland d50 but using waldorf osc for the va synth part and new pcm content

i have been working on more spectra samples and wavetables and have managed to shrink the spectra down to 64k per sample loop multisample

if i use just 1 layer of 36 samples which is sampled ever second note and only transposed down i can make it a 2mb file

but what is great is that i can choose 4 diffferent spectra multi samples and have 4 velocity layers so very changing expressive sounds can be created just by soft medium hard and harder playing

also then as its going to be polyphonic each 4 osc voice section if using 4 pcm osc can have can have upto 16 sample sets thats an 32mb of samples for the spectra lots of expressive sound scope there

but there will also be very big sample sets of instruments and my transwave 8 layer sounds that i make in the asr10

and the poly at module means for every note of poly available single note modulation of the 4 osc voice synth which means each section is treated as a mono synth so if you have 12 note poly

each 4 osc voice section could have slightly different modulation settings so you get that analog feel when you play a note every time and it sounds a little different

this is very exciting to be programming like this as it opens up potential to do anything and better than the hardware

making a virus emulation is possible

its all in the beta stages at the moment as we find little faults and iron them out and also i working out the limitations to the multisample osc as it needs to be compatible for the 3dsp cards so they can have a doodle with multisampling in modular im working out the maximum it will allow with the maximum poly available for the bigger systems 15+ dsps

you will all have a big smiles on your faces when the modules are released

im also trying to get them made in configs so that certain synths can be produced with as little modules counts as possible

i think a skinning option would be great if you have finnished your synth in modular then being able to skin it would be great

as all you really need to see is the controls that would be a great feature if that ever came about

be like some type of overlay graphic that sits over the top of the modular panel

Man, that sounds too good to be true !
D50 emulation, that´s what I´m looking for because I want to sell my D550 (and some more).

Will all this run in Modular III or will be Modular IV and Addern Flexor essential ?
I hope it will work w/ XITE-1 and lots of polyphony,- yes ? :D

best
