Installing Scope on a Mac G4

Post by Skoomy »

Hello,

I use SFP on PC since 2001 without any problems. Thanks to X-Ite (and you guys, of course), I've recently been able to purchased 3 second hand pulsar 2, so I now own 4 card with my old Luna. I have put the 3 pulsar in my PC, and the luna and her box in an old G4 Mac. No problem with the PC config, but I can't install Scope 4 for Mac on this G4, it seems there's no setup file to execute in the dowloadable archive at SC. But well, I'm not very good with Macs.

Sorry for bad english.
Advices ? :-?

Currently Sonic Core is working on driver and Sope 5.0 for Mac...no one has a timeframe yet...but it might be this year...or next...? I would check Sonic Core's website for updates and here for announcements.

You need os9 and sfp 3.1/4.0 then it should work.If you are running osx you have to wait for the new drivers.

Thanks. I do have SFP 4 but on PC format disc, and I didn't succeed in installing the 4.5 version of SFP wich is the only downloadable version for Mac on SC site. What I need is a Scope 4 installable for Mac, I guess.

I may be totally wrong, but from pure reasoning I wouldn't expect anything on Mac changed between version 3.1 and 4.x.
Creamware really didn't seem to have much ideas about Mac OS (8/9) specific programming at all.
Not that I want to retro-diss them, but a statement (for a long time) in their shop read: demo version unavailable for Mac OS.
Some member here once published a method how to make (most) demos run on a Mac and they were really surprised... ;)

cheers, Tom

which version of os9 do you have installed? it has to be a real (not classic mode) os9 (max 9.2.2). check this. :) http://www.planetz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21566
