Big Brother: PowerPulsar is there
A new addition to the Pulsar family! Our highly-regarded music
production system now has a big brother: PowerPulsar - the 15 SHARC Music
Production DSP System for PC and Mac.
PowerPulsar is based on the same hardware as our high-end SCOPE /SP
system which features fifteen 32-bit SHARC DSP chips - making it the most
powerful audio board available today. Compared with the six signal
processors of Pulsar II, PowerPulsar clearly puts significantly more
processing performance at your disposal.
This enormous amount of DSP power is available for use by the well over
100 production tools included with the software package, or by any
optional plug-ins you add later. The software supplied with PowerPulsar is
Version 3.0 - the same software provided with Pulsar II. The new
ProPack plug-in package is also included.
PowerPulsar comes in four I/O versions. Depending on the version, the
system offers from 20 to 28 audio inputs and outputs in combinations of
analog, S/PDIF, AES/EBU, ADAT, and Z-Link formats.
PowerPulsar is available now. The "Classic 20" and "24ADAT" versions
have a list price of Euro 2,449 net. The "Plus" and "Z-Link" versions are
priced at Euro 2,549 net.

Sneak preview: A16 Ultra
We'd like to disclose a well-kept secret here: there will soon be a new
generation of our successful A16 converter unit available! The A16
Ultra combines the features which made its predecessor so popular with
today's cutting-edge technical specs. Some highlights:
- High-quality 24-bit / 96 kHz AD/DA converters
- 16 inputs and 16 outputs, balanced analog TRS
- 2 ADAT interfaces
- S/Mux for ADAT conversion at 96 kHz (8-channels)
- Z-Link interface (16 channels at 24-bit / 96 kHz)
- Wordclock I/O
- Very compact: single rack space 19" unit
- Highly competitive price
Its high number of channels with pristine audio quality make the A16
Ultra the ideal converter for all I/O cards, digital mixers and
instruments with an ADAT interface. In combination with a CreamWare DSP Hardware
with Z-Link I/O, you are even able to transfer all 16 channels at
24-bit / 96 kHz at the same time.
The price of the A16 Ultra is scheduled to be around 1,200 Euro. Stay
tuned for more information coming soon!

The converter makes me VERY happy, I'm sure everyone's sick of me talking about "man I wish they'd make a 1U 16 channel 1/4" TRS box with dual ADAT, SMUX and Zlink"!!

Did they read my mind, my messages, or are they just on the same WaveLength?

I'm really impressed that they can do 16 channels of 96/24 across one Zlink port though!! If that's really the case, seems to be from what I'm seeing.

The price, well, I do sell Creamware products after all...

I'm not so impressed by 16 ch. on Z-link, cuz it's what it's suppose to be able to do. Not that it's not cool, noooo, but i'm more impressed with all the features! Z-link+Adat+s/mux+wordclock...

Hey! Maybe they'll sound as good as the RME's
