Scope 5 & midi CC's

I saw a thread somewhere (can't find it again) where Jimmy V said that the handling of Midi CC's was better in 5.0.

Jimmy - is this a return to earlier versions where the midi CC's assigned to faders etc are saved with the device instead of the project?

Oh please let it be so - I thought the handling in 4.5 and before were a retro step.

Any other replies welcome of course - can't let Jimmy into every post
