The Peq4 really does sound nice and competes well against alot of commercial eq's to my ears. To my taste there are better eq's out here then the SCOPE stock but they still hold there own against many commercial ones and are quite usable. Not just eq's but many of the SCOPE stock plugins are good. And i'm sure the new EQ for platform 5 will be even better.

Yeah, I use the PEQ4 quite a lot. It's DSP light and ideal for a quick fix in the mix.
I hardly use the stock compressor as it doesn't sound that good to my ears. I only use the stock compressor for sidechaining purposes, but not as normal compressor. I heard Scope 5 comes with a better sounding stock compressor. I hope so!

I agree about the stock compressor, it does not sound good to me either. I'm sure there are a few others as well that are not good but in general i do find most of the stock to be good. Atleast to my taste.

Yup, I agree.
And about the graphic eq's, I always thought that graphic eq's are more used for live music/audio, where the room or venue has to be corrected acousticly. I'm not sure if it's meant to be used in the studio in a mix. Of course it's simple and quick to use, and if it sounds right, then it sounds right, but I still prefer a parametric eq for mixing in the studio. :)

to my ears the stock eq is excellent for level-fitting a bass while keeping the instrument's own character.
Indeed not very spectacular, but spot on the job :D

cheers, Tom
