Cut Down Version of SCOPE XITE-1

Post by electro »

Will there be a cut down DSP card with no Audio I/O? This would be good for those who only want the card to run Creamware Synth and FX in native DAW and already use some other Audiocard.

I would expect much more a cut down version with a lower number of DSP with a subset of plug-in provided just like what was offered with the project card...

My 2 cents

Maybe a cut-down version could be available sooner if they "just" have to unplugg some expansion card to remove some DSP chips. This would mean most part of the hardware would be common to all the Xite product range. This is just how I would have build this type of gear as an electronic system conceptor. The principle would just be the same as for NOAH: 1 main board (6 DSP) and an expansion board with extra DSP (4 DSP). This would also be great as then the expansion board could be common to both Xite and SOLARIS.

As the Xite-1 is announced as having 18 DSP chip you could imagine severall combination possible.
One could even think the Xite-1 could also have space for extra expansion board !!!

Then we could wait for such a product range expansion before XMas.

One hint toward this modular way of building unit is also that the front Mic Preamp seem to be a removable part of the overall assembly on the last picture. This would mean the possibility to offer different I/O option on the front part with one being no front I/O.

2 cents more.
