XITE-1 seems to be available
In the Onlinstore of Thomann you can order the Xite-1 and it's available in 2 or 5 days. Look here: http://www.thomann.de/gb/soniccore_xite_1.htm
could this be a mistake?

Yeah....Sweetwater here in the States sdvertised Gigastudio 4 last October on their site too. Everybody at Tascam told me no way, not until Spring.
Good products seem to be treated in similar fashion.

Yep, Thomann are great, as are Music Store (altough I've only dealt personally with the branch in Koln). One great thing about Music Store is that you purchase a single order & they send you regular catalogues/magazines for 2/3 years free of charge. That actually led to sharc & I purchasing more gear from them.

I think the informations for this product are strange, cause Thomann wrote: "thomann.de sales rank: 37317
sales rank in DSP Audio Systems: 39
sales unit: 1 piece(s) "
So they must saled one piece - or not

If there's this much talk when XITE hasn't been released yet, think of the frenzy there'll be when it IS released. I guess that's why SC called it XITE...they knew about us Scopeians here on PZ....

no. the item itself has a quantity of one piece. if you buy (for example) studio monitors, they are sold as a pair or single. a pair will be listed as "2 piece(s)".mediamalte wrote: "thomann.de sales rank: 37317

what makes me think is the fact that it is ranked 39 (right now 43 btw) within a category containing 66 items. so there must be at least some preorders...

its based on EUS - Estimated Units Sold....kylie wrote:no. the item itself has a quantity of one piece. if you buy (for example) studio monitors, they are sold as a pair or single. a pair will be listed as "2 piece(s)".mediamalte wrote: "thomann.de sales rank: 37317

I guess the rank is also based on clicks/views.
I buyed most of my gear from them. It's the first time I've an issue regarding speed, but it seems that this specific unit is hard to get since I called several providers and they all say the same "can't guarantee delivery delays"stardust wrote: BTW I have very good experience with Thomann regarding speed. Usually it takes only 2 days at normal shipping.

depends, if you only count the clicks with different ip, you can click it 1000 times and it won`t change.kylie wrote:code a tiny script that loads the page frequently via cron and verify whether the counter goes up or not. if not (that's what I expecthifiboom wrote:I guess the rank is also based on clicks/views.), you're wrong.

that would mean companies with NAT gateways or even proxies would not be able to raise counter even if 1000 different people loaded that page...hifiboom wrote:depends, if you only count the clicks with different ip, you can click it 1000 times and it won`t change.kylie wrote:code a tiny script that loads the page frequently via cron and verify whether the counter goes up or not. if not (that's what I expecthifiboom wrote:I guess the rank is also based on clicks/views.), you're wrong.

maybe a cookie-based approach would fit better...
