is there portamento with software samplers ?

i use the sts3000 on the pulsar2 board and i am very unsatisfied with the fact that there is no portamento (and neither legato). does this feature exist on the sts4000 or sts5000 ?
has anyone experience with gigasampler, is there portamento ? since the pulsar has a gigasampler interface, maybe this would be the solution.
