I'll go a bit OT here.. My apologies in advance.

I notice that you have both SPL TD and Attacker.

From what I could understand, Attacker is like a stripped down version of TD that only allows to change the attack of the sound but not the decay. Is that correct, or am I missing some point here?

Thx!

roman, do the strings for the double entries really differ?

I kinda doubt that, but I have a possible explanation:

- you had 4.0 before
- you did not change your setup or reinstall scope
- you got a new keyfile for 4.5 and imported that when using one of the new devices for the first time

the additional devices with a single entry may have been activated with the challenge response mechanism, thus only one line for them.

when I got keyfiles from ralf for 4.5, I also noticed that some entries are listed twice, but the license string is exactly the same.

with a new keyfile the date string also changed. maybe the license information is the same in your .rgy, but the date differs...?!

-greetings, markus-

thanks

yep, they really differ, even though it's only one or two characters. the date isn't the same, you're right on that... but maybe there's the date of purchase coded in the key, that would explain the difference in the key...

I assume your doubles were licensed to the card before purchasing 4.5? but then, SBC is a double entry, too, and would, thus, not make sense to be there twice...
also the dynatube plugins make me think...
well you maybe right with your "date-coded-into-the-key" assumption.
I will check my old files when I'm back home. this is getting interesting... :)

Hi

In the old key scheme the keys were 12 characters long. The same 12 character keys are now buried in the new keys file from the second character to the 13th, so for example my Pulsar 2.0 key used to be 3CWxxxxxCA60, but now it''s:-

03CWxxxxxCA60D6YJRICIYRR6CEYJRCCIYRR6CEYJRIG7UM

(I don't suppose it really matters but I replaced some of the characters with x's here)

I had multiple keys for the same components too when I installed Scope but if I export the registry from Scope I get no duplicates.

ok, thanks... will try to export the keys and look what happens then

even though, my keys are already in the long term i think, here's an example:

0GTAL0ZYAKTA2D3F5Y6R6FYYJRCF5R2R6FYYJRCF5Yxxxxx
0GTAL0ZYAKTA2D4F5Y6R6FYYJRCF5R2R6FYYJRCF5Yxxxxx

Hi

The important part of your key would be the part in red.

0GTAL0ZYAKTA2D3F5Y6R6FYYJRCF5R2R6FYYJRCF5Yxxxxx

If you look at your registry in the Scope software you'll see that only the red part is present.
